Stones for Stress and Balance

These are just a few stones that I have listed in my shop that can assist you during times of stress. I often use them as a worry stone, rubbing between my fingers helping me focus on what really matters. For some friends, I've strung them on a looped cord, so it can slide over a finger for ease of use without having to worry about dropping or losing it.

Again, remember this is a short list of stones that I have found beneficial to myself.

Green Onyx is strength giving. It centers your energy
and aligning it with a higher power, accessing
higher guidance.

Smoky Quartz is one of the most efficient grounding
and anchoring stones. This stone is a superb antidote to
stress. It relieves fear, lifts depression and brings
emotional calmness.

Fluorite is highly protective, especially on a psychic
level. This stone also cleanses and stabilizes the Aura.
Used in healing Fluorite draws off negative energies
and stress of all kinds.

Carnelian calms anger and banishes emotional negativity,
replacing it with a love of life. It also helps in
bringing clearer thoughts.

Chalcedony symbolizes calmness and composure.
For the Tibetans it is the stone of purity and concentration.
It brings the mind, body, emotions and spirit into harmony.

Aventurine is not only a stone of prosperity, but Green
Aventurine is a comforter, heart healer,
and general harmonizer, protecting the heart.

Jasper is known as the "supreme nurturer." It sustains
and supports during times of stress,
and brings tranquility and wholeness.

Maiden, Mother and Crone

I love these images and depictions of the Triple Goddess. A representation of the Maiden, Mother, and Crone. The Triple Goddess is also seen as the waxing, full, and waning moon. It is also associated with feminine energy, mystery and psychic abilities.
The Maiden represents enchantment, inception, expansion, the female principle, the promise of new beginnings, youth, excitement and carefree.

The Mother represents ripeness, fertility, fulfillment, stability, and power. When represented she's often seen with a swollen belly filled with life.

The Crone represents wisdom, repose, and compassion.
Some Maiden Goddesses are Persephone, Brighid, Nimue, among others.
The Mother Goddesses in mythology are Demeter, Aa, Ambika, Ceres, Astarte and Lakshmi.
The Crone can be seen as Hecate, Hel, Maman Brigitte, Oya, Sedna, Skuld, and others.
I've only listed a few here as there are many depending on which Pantheon you follow.
The feminine aspect in whatever form is beautiful and can represent many things to different people. She is the balance to the masculine, the moon to the sun. To me she represents femininity, beauty and the divine of being a Woman.

New and Updated Listings

I'm still retaking photos and I think I have about 2 more pages of listings to redo....eeek!! Here are two pairs of earrings that I've had listed and have recently retaken the photos for. The top photo is an earthy mix of faceted Smoky Quartz and button pearls. The bottom photo are Grace earrings with rectangular Labradorite gemstones.

I'm also still working on my Goddess Adornment line, trying to add at least 4 new pieces a week. They are alot of fun to work with, trying to figure out what gems will fit in her spiral womb and changing up the colors a bit. The first Gaia pendant is adorned with an aqua Apatite onion briolette, an Iris Pearl, two aqua Apatite nuggets, and a tiny sterling silver bead. The other Gaia is done with varying shades of purple. I used a faceted Amethyst briolette, faceted Iolite, Rhodolite Garnet and Amethyst rondelles and 4 tiny sterling silver beads.

New Listings...

I just wanted to share my 2 newest listings with you. I decided to reintroduce Gaia today in my new Goddess Adorned line. She's the same Goddess just with a little more pizazz!

This Goddess Adorned was inspired by the earthy toned organza ribbon pictured with this pendant. A faceted wire wrapped blue Labradorite Spectrolite briolette drops from Gaia the Mother Goddess © 2008 SHI. Her spiral womb is adorned with a peacock pearl, faceted smoky quartz and labradorite rondelles.

This pendant has a faceted wire wrapped Garnet briolette that drops from Gaia the Mother Goddess © 2008 SHI. Her spiral womb is adorned with a faceted Rhodolite Garnet rondelle, a smooth Garnet rondelle and a Lepidolite in Quartz point.

Gaia connects us to the universal source of mothering and nurturing, leading us to a feeling of profound peace and balance.

I plan on doing a few more of these with more fall colors in the near future. This design will allow me to show the changing of the seasons. I'm excited to get started on more designs.

New Items

I've added a few new items to my Etsy store, another pair of Abi Anklets, this time with little fish charms...so cute, another set of Meditation/Prayer beads and an Angelic Realm Pendulum.

I've been debating on opening a second Etsy shop to destash my ever growing collection of stones and pearls. I also wanted to sell another product in there, but have found that if I do I may lose any rights or be denied for a patent. Actually I've just recently left a message for a patent attorney to find out if it's something that can be patented. Without revealing too much information, my product is made using 2 patented items, but the use and combination of the 2 is unique. Because it's made with patented items I don't know if I can actually patent it or not. I don't think it falls under something that I can copyright, but then again I'm unsure. I'll wait to see what he says then go from there. I have to say that I'm amazed at the cost to patent an item (attorney fees and patent/filing fees). It's sad to think that if a self employed artist or small mom and pops business can't afford to pay the cost to patent and decides to sell their idea anyways, that a larger company can steal that idea...patent it for themselves and make thousands or maybe millions of dollars...off of a creation that wasn't theirs to begin with. I'm hoping for a really positive response from the attorney...or at least a direction to point me in, so that the above scenerio doesn't happen to me, not that my idea/item would make millions....but I can definately dream!

On a side note I've agreed to have my pendulum's reviewed by New Witch magazine. I'm excited to have that extra advertising nudge. It's a quarterly magazine...we'll see if my review makes the next edition. It'll be a few more months before the next edition comes out though, so I'll let you know how it goes.

It's fast approaching...

well at least my birthday is! I'll be 37 on Monday the 28th and for some reason I'm getting daily calls from my lovelies asking if I feel older...LOL wth! Nope not older at all...actually I love my birthdays and I've never had a problem with getting older. But I have ventured in to doing different things with my hair...it's currently black with midnight blue underneath! After 2 appointments and a total of 9 hours in an uncomfortable chair. Who knew dying my hair would take so long. First the blue turned out to be more of a teal color, which was a very pretty contrast with the black, but teal is just not my color. So on the second appointment we got it right and I even got some deep purples mixed in with the blue...love it! It'll be perfect for the FaerieWorlds Festival this summer :D Now I just have to figure out some outfits to wear...it's 3 days this year. I love the clothes from treehouse 28. Her clothes would be great for the fest!

The meditation/prayer beads are doing really well. I'm excited at how well they've been received on Etsy. I only have 2 left in my store, but I have a few custom orders in the works. I've met some really wonderful people as a result of these beads and I truly feel blessed!

Ohh and I wanted to tell Recycledideas thank you very much for your hint with the links on my photos! It's awesome! And I'm still loving Olive she's too adorable, and I may have to buy her for a birthday present to myself :D Ooo and her brother, he's sooo cute..jeez decisions decisions :D

I hope the New Year is treating everyone well...I'm quite pleased with how it's turning out so far and I look forward to what lies ahead. Time feels like it's flying by, so I'm gonna enjoy the ride!
