Ohh.....This So Made My Day!
My muscle spasms have ceased a little, at least I'm able to sit here for a bit to write another post.
~ Lisa, thank you so much for your lovely compliments and well wishes! Hugs to you my dear :)
Okay....so I go to check my mail and a package is there waiting for me....I know what it is and with excitement I tear open the package! In a beautiful box is a treasure that I couldn't wait to put on my finger :) It's the lovely ring below made by Debora of BeadinByTheSea , a dear Etsy friend who kindly made this with me in mind and gave me the opportunity to purchase it from her! I don't often get to splurge on myself but this was an absolute must have!! It couldn't have arrived at a better time...it completely brightened my day! Thank you so much Debora for creating such a beautiful, earthy, and just an all around stunning ring....I'm so happy :)

Ring

I made another ring today, this one is a size 8 and I'll be listing it in my shop tomorrow. I thought about doing custom sizes, but I haven't perfected soldering, so whatever size I make will be what I list. I'm almost there though so I should be offering stackable and custom sizing in the near future.
For these rings I've used 16g half round sterling silver wire, just slightly hammering it for texture and then I do something a little extra that gives it a brushed satin finish. They're so comfortable to wear, I've worn my thumbring every day!

Not just any ring

I make wire wrapped rings....but I wanted to learn how to make the prong style...and had no clue how to go about it. Well one night while browsing through Etsy...I stumbled upon MyWiredImagination. A wonderful artist who's wire wrapped jewelry is impeccable... and sells prong ring tutorials and kits. These kits come with everything you need including the stone, she also has upgrades available if you fancy a different size, color or type of stone. I awaited anxiously for my kit to arrive (I received the tutorial by pdf format in an email and the supplies were sent to me). Well I received my supplies yesterday...and decided I would make my ring this morning. The picture above is the result!!! I just love how it turned out...her tutorial is awesome and very easy to follow. The lavender stone is large and gorgeous! I couldn't be happier with the results and I'm so very thankful for sellers like her who don't mind sharing their wire wrapping designs!
Thank you Bobbi....I enjoyed everything about the step by step tutorial, the pictures you included and will cherish my ring for many years to come!

Custom Rings

I'm now offering custom sized rings in my Etsy Store! I made this one using an oval Garnet and 18 gauge sterling silver wire. I used a diamond file to make sure the ends of the wire wouldn't catch on clothing or scratch the skin. I just made one for myself because I liked how it turned out...and it's my birthstone. I really like the look of the birds nest ring but there's already a few people selling them on Etsy so I thought I would do this instead. To me it has a real organic free form look, and I'm pleased at how comfortable it is on the finger.
