I'm finally feeling a bit better! My family has passed around an nasty little bug and it seems that I'm finally on the mend. Boy nothing like a good ol' cold to wipe you out for a few days.
Let's see what's new with me, well I got my boys senior photos back and I'm torn. The photos are great, but one of my sons decided that he would wear a ballcap in each and every photo...uugghh! Even the one's for the yearbook...aye! But...and here comes the part where I'm torn....it's totally unequivocally him! He always wears his Boston ballcaps...he has a nice collection of them in all sorts of colors so the Leo in him can match them with all of his different shirts, shorts, etc. So on one hand I'm bummed that there isn't one photo of him without his hat, on the other hand it wouldn't be "him" if he didn't wear it! I guess that's what I get for not being present at the time they had them taken...but I had a good excuse...a gem and bead show was going on LOL! Sheesh...what was I thinkin' :/
I'm happy to say that business has been going well. I exceeded my goal for the month, which is always a pleasurable surprise! I've had the sweetest emails from my customers and I tell you they make everything worth it...I'm so thankful for each and every one of them.
I've got some new projects (for jewelry) in the works...and I can't wait to finish them up, I'll hopefully have them listed before Monday. I'll be sure to post them here when I do!
Ohh and my little friend (in my earlier post) whom is actually a Red Breasted Sapsucker, has been at my bedroom window like clockwork always between 6:15 and 6:30 am...pounding away at my ladder. When I wasn't feeling well this week...he wasn't so cute and he wasn't my friend! Because a friend would know that I'm not a morning person at all...let alone when I'm not feeling well. Hey...you've gotta kind of feel sorry for the guy...he's just a confused bird trying to suck sap out of a darned aluminum ladder!
Well all, I'm off to slap some vicks on...I just love the smell of that stuff...brings back childhood memories....I'm weird I know :)

Almost to 300
Wow...I can't believe that I'm just one sale away from reaching 300 *Happy Dance*
So now I'm thinking of a free gift to go with that sale....hmm...maybe a pair of the Itty Bitty Rustic Hoops?

Or...maybe a pair of stud earrings...I don't offer the stud earrings in my store, so that might be a little nice surprise. I guess I'll just wait for the sale and ask my customer then...hehe

I'm not sure what my 2nd year anniversary goal will be....I think I'll just be content with reaching each 100 sales milestone! A huge thank you to my customers, friends and to my dearest Etsy friends.....thanks for being with me every step of the way! Hehe...it almost sounds as if I'm receiving some sort of award...honestly this feels better than that and couldn't have come at a better time :)

Woohoo...I hit 100!!
I couldn't be happier and it was from a wonderful customer! Really all of my customers have been wonderful, but this one has always been a pleasure to work with!!
It feels exhilarating to reach the goals you set for yourself. At first I wasn't really interested in setting any goals, mainly I think because I didn't want to set myself up for failure. BUT early this year I threw caution to the wind (LOL...I know...big leap huh??) and decided what the heck. Well I've accomplished all of the goals that I set for myself this year...as far as my Etsy store goes...and now I have to figure out what kind of goals to set for my 2nd year on Etsy.
I didn't make anything new today as I spent it with my children before they start school next week. We spent a lot of time just reminiscing about their childhood, reliving moments they remembered and laughing hysterically about ones they'd forgotten. I'm a proud mom, most definitely! Though they're only seniors in high school, I'm proud of their accomplishments thus far. They've had a couple of mis-steps along the way, but what teenager hasn't?? Ohh by far they are little angels compared to how I was, and what I was doing when I was their age!
They paid me the best compliment tonight that warmed my heart...they said, "Mom, you're the best and you want to know why? Because you love us unconditionally...even when your mad and do you want to know how we know this? Because you tell us every chance you get!" They're right, I do tell them that I love them all the time..it was something my parents did when I was younger, and still do to this day, it's something that I hope they do with their children. The one thing I really love is that they say it back to me no matter where they are or who they're with....now if that doesn't warm your heart, I don't know what will. Those three little words sure carry alot of power behind them and I'm more than happy to share it :)
