My Weekend

I just love the changing leaves in the Fall. They are so glorious and rich with vibrant colors.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Samhain, or Halloween! We had a great time, we ghost hunted a friends house and sat around in the dark telling our own stories and experiences with the paranormal...so much fun! We didn't get a lot of trick or treaters but that just left more candy for us to munch on as we listened to each other tell our tales.

We also had a retirement party for my boss....which was a blast! We did kind of a roast and I don't think we've ever laughed so hard at all the great stories. Many of us had skits and I even got up there too....without going into too much detail let's just say there was a sheep (blow up), kilt and well you can probably guess what went on from there! He's from Montana...so I'm always giving him a hard time about sheep...it was perfect!

Today was spent just relaxing and spending time with my folks and mostly relaying the stories about my weekend. I just love my parents, they're a blast to be around and always so loving!

Well I'm off to do household chores that I put off til the last moment *sigh*.....but it was worth it!

Treasuries!!

I love the Etsy Treasury ! To me it's one of the highest forms of flattery when someone chooses one of your items to feature. My Sage bracelet is in the lower right hand corner. I have yet to really figure out how to use it, so I don't even try, but some of the treasuries that people put together are so stunning.

If you happen to be lucky enough to be included in one, you're not normally notified because it's considered spam. BUT, I don't mind being notified at all. I think this is probably the first treasury that I've posted here on my blog, though I've saved them all on my computer. This one was put together by Greenfingers a wonderful seller who creates the most beautiful knitted Goddesses around, and she's an EAST (Earthpath Artisans Street Team) teammate.

Speaking of our EAST team, we're going to be holding a special starting on September 23rd, 2008. It's The Spirited Autumn Event (TSAE), and each seller from our team will be offering a discount in one way or another for this special. So when your on Etsy, do a search using TSAE and you'll find some wonderful little treasure's based around the Fall season, Halloween, and items with metaphysical/healing/green properties. I'll be sure to make another announcement the closer we get to it, but if you do a search now you'll find that some of our team members have already started listing items.

And what a wonderful Solstice it is! I just found out some wonderful news...a local boutique is going to carry my jewelry on consignment *does the happy dance* I'm so excited. The owner is wonderful...I love just chatting with her when I visit her store. I made her a Goddess pendant for a Solstice gift today and also made a gift for Lori (the Labradorite bracelet in an earlier post and Labradorite earrings). I had just recently started thinking about doing consignment, and her store was the first that came to mind, the vibe in her store is great, so tonight I emailed her and asked her, and she said YES!!

On another note...I did make a Goddess charm (talked about it in an earlier post). It was like I had a dream about them. I drew the design at my parents house, showed my dad, he tweeked it a little...it looked so familiar and I was worried that it was something that I've seen before. I've searched and searched through thousands of pages looking for this design...and nothing. I showed my friend Lori tonight and she said she's never seen anything like it either. So now I'm really psyched and I'm going to copyright it before I make anything using the design. It's been hard to create any new jewelry because I've been "obsessed" with this charm. It's calling to be made into earrings...necklace...accent on a bracelet, so many things. I worry so much about putting them out before copyrighting them because of all the "copying" that goes on at Etsy and other venues...*sigh* On one hand you're honored that someone likes your piece so much they're copying it, on the other hand it hurts because it's "you're baby".
